Guys this is actually fascinating to me. I made a comment a week ago on this reddit thread and my upvote number is going crazy. Like every single refresh its getting a vote or downvoted to stay at exactly 0, then it gets upvoted to like 2 or 3 and back to 0 or negative 1. Its just constantly being fuzzed. Not sure if this is the result of the vote fuzzing on reddit, or some bot bullshit. Its odd because its just a really succinct post that could snowball if up voted enough. My comment is :

"Destroy capitalism. Capitalism is what has us being slaves to our technology, instead of technology serving man."

I know reddit is a shithole but this is the only comment I have that is fluctuating like this. CIA = Reddit?!??!?

here's my favorite article in the new issue

http://time.com/3028043/in-gaza-a-just-but-bloody-war/ "Hamas provoked this round, and Israel had no choice but to respond"

and my favorite part:

"The first step is to restore legal order in Gaza by returning the Palestinian Authority–ousted by Hamas in a 2007 coup–to power and bringing in the U.S.-trained Palestinian security forces who have done such an excellent job of bringing law and order to the West Bank."

as you can tell I'm only 28% finished. so I'm not to the sraffian part yet.

'Sympathizers with the Cuban process, as well as anticommunist leftists, sometimes carry a clipboard and grade sheet so that they can grade Cuba for health care, sexism, racism, pollution, homophobia, elections, number of political parties, a free press, strikes, or whatever else is on their minds. In the end, depending on the grade point average Cuba accumulates, they can decide if Cuba “is”or “is not” socialist (or whether socialism is or is not a good thing). Then they write praise or denunciations when they get home. The items on the grade sheet may be liberal, a list of rights we fight for under capitalism and then turn into universal principles. Or they may come from a priori schemes for socialism, principles such as “bottom up, not top down,” or “workers’ councils running the factories.”'

daaaaaaaamn that's harsh

i just finished reading captain michalis. my friend recommended the magic mountain, so maybe i'll borrow it.

One's first impulse was to seize the ship by both ends, plunge it into the sea, shake it thoroughly to make all the livestock which polluted it drop off—men, rats, bugs—and then refloat it, freshly washed and empty.

But at times I was seized with compassion. A Buddhist compassion, as cold as the conclusion of a metaphysical syllogism. A compassion not only for men but for all life which struggles, cries, weeps, hopes and does not perceive that everything is a phantasmagoria of nothingness. Compassion for the Greeks, and for the ligníte mine, and for my unfinished manuscript of Buddha, for all those vain compositions of light and shade which suddenly disturb and contamínate the pure air.

the diasporic sikh population is somewhat Bhindranwale'd out in yuba city, toronto, etc., but mostly Bhagat Singh is the revolutionary shaheed of choice and people get really uncomfortable if you bring up Bhindranwale. you do sometimes hear "indira gandhi" as an insult towards upperclass/caste women though :-)

i think tom growing up in a deli might explain the weight of his issues.

Maoism (Third Worldism) was first coined after the collapse of the Maoist Internationalist Movement (who originally developed the concept) by the Leading Light Communist Organisation on the 1st of January 2008 in the journal Monkey Smashes Heaven.
