and so the liberal backlash and attempt at correcting his apostasy has reached its current pinnacle with a lengthy personal attack on him in the new republic an establishment liberal rag.

Cornel West’s rage against President Barack Obama evokes that kind of venom. He has accused Obama of political minstrelsy, calling him a “Rockefeller Republican in blackface”; taunted him as a “brown-faced Clinton”; and derided him as a “neoliberal opportunist (THE GALL! -aernote).”

the man for the job this time is some georgetown hack named michael dyson

No matter how vehemently I disagree with Obama, I respect him as a man wrestling with an incredibly difficult opportunity to shape history. West looked into my eyes, sighed, and said: “Well, I guess that’s the difference between me and you. I don’t respect the brother at all.”

that anecdote is suppose to make me like west less i guess? anyway, cornel west has been suffering this liberal onslaught for awhile now ever since he realized back in 2008/2009 that wait a second maybe obama isn't the progressive he's portraying himself as. we all make mistakes. LF circa that time period was a shameful chapter of our history.

the basic form these articles take involves the liberal commentator ignoring all of the accurate leftist criticisms west makes about obama's wars, drones, center-right neoliberal policies by dismissing it as ego-driven personal animus after being jilted by progressive paragon Obama.

personal ego and access, i'm sure has nothing to do with their own take on the matter.

anyway, thanks for reading my manic Liberal Said a Thing in 2015 thread so as a reward here's a quote you'll like

I have never really understood exactly what a ‘liberal’ is, since I have heard ‘liberals’ express every conceivable opinion on every conceivable subject. As far as I can tell, you have the extreme right, who are fascist racist capitalist dogs like Ronald Reagan, who come right out and let you know where they’re coming from. And on the opposite end, you have the left, who are supposed to be committed to justice, equality, and human rights. And somewhere between those two points is the liberal.

As far as I’m concerned, ‘liberal’ is the most meaningless word in the dictionary.

Obama needs to turn his cap around and pull his pants up.

Cornell West pokes his head into frame at the state of the Union, smiles and leaves. He's becoming so mature and self aware...

John Reed in his eyewitness report, Ten Days That Shook the World, describing the Bolshevik Revolution in Petrograd in 1917, proclaimed Leon Trotsky to be “the greatest Jew since Jesus.” Over the last hundred years, Einstein has displaced Trotsky as the second-brightest star of the Jewish pantheon.

Always saw Dr. West moving up and primarily admired his faith in a ruff world of atheist academia.

In selecting Miss Piggy, Sackler said, “Anita Hill has become a symbol. Miss Piggy has, too, the same way Gloria Steinem has.”

Calling Miss Piggy gritty and tenacious, Sackler added that she “has all of the qualities that…women need to have to face the world as it is, and she gives us a good smile on top of it all.”

Its true, though. Gloria Steinem was a CIA pig

people on twitter are mad at Sarkeesian for "standing up for a transphobe" who i guess is Murphy? idk much, haven't been following it. i've never seen evidence of transphobia from her, so it sounds like a brilliant smear job. accuse her of bigotry that has nothing to do w/ the issue at hand.
