there were about 250 trans people murdered in 2013, which puts their yearly murder rate at between 1 in 2800 and 1 in 4000 which is high enough assuming they didnt all deserve it, which they did. el oh el

my wife yelled at me last night cos i suggested we look on the bright side of world war 3, which involves either us dying or various privations including food and power rationing meaning i wont have to go to starbucks to buy her two chocolate chip banana coffee cakes and a venti latte first thing in the morning any more

algebra and calculus are maths for capitalism, humans naturally think logarithmically, in terms of orders of magnitude, and this is replaced with counting, integers, idk what else, in schools. this castrates our ability to understand scale, and our ability to respond appropriately to the evils of global imperialism. im making this up but im probably right

tbh i dont think its that hard to come up with an actual good (dialectical?) argument that supports that conclusion. they just didnt do it. idk, something liek memorizing how to add, subtract, multiply, and divide being analogous to primitive accumulation and then learning algebraic manipulations and trig identities and carrying them out mindlessly without being taught to understand it because you need to know how to do that to file your taxes properly being loosely analogous to capitalism. then once you know how to do all of that you can seize the means of math production and start to prove things and understand why things work like they do and you have math socialism or whatever. a japanese marxist actually developed a similar (much better) dialectical progression for the sciences which was involved in the discovery of a new type of elementary particle.

one organization i saw claims that one in ten people are "gender non-conforming", which means that approximately 700 million people in the world are gender non-conforming.

we talk about israel as if it's a real problem even though it's a few million jews, why can't we talk about 700 million people?

i saw a video on coursera where the president of a major liberal arts university declared that people who do queer theory believe that once you queer enough things capitalism will fall apart by itself.

stephen cauldwell (brit marxist) also wrote a thing called The Crisis in Physics sounds like is somewhat similar to that, altho he was relating the specific battle between quantum mechanics and relativity to the battle between the proletariat and the bourgeoisie. its kinda cool but idk how useful it is, maybe my brain is too rigidly conformed to the bourgeois scientific method

id be interested to read the japanese guy's thing on it

Anyone who thinks they know quantum mechanics, don't understand quantum mechanics. It's used a lot in the new-age hippy movements and pseudoscience aswell as subjects completely unrelated to quantum mechanics. This is one of them.

Michio Kaku is a hack who just vomits out buzzwords. He will be in anything and everything, he's even in that new "documentary" (its not a documentary, its a brainfart) about the earth being centre of the universe.

Actually the head of Project Rose teaches at ASU and knew Jones, so she was likely targeted for her activism.

thats disappointing. caudwell's stuff was pretty alright, or at least not too much pseudoscience hackery, or at least the parts i read; he seemed to have an ok understanding of it despite the few sections that seemed to be a bit of a stretch. (o sry it was christopher caudwell not stephen)

Here are some drug facts

The average age that drug dealers make there first sell is at age 12.

The average runaway teen is approached to buy drugs within 6 hours of their disappearance.

The Average drug dealer is forced to sell to up to 100 customers a day.

100% of drug dealers are addicted to sex.

is it the size of the problem, or is it the lessons that are taught by it?

the israeli occupation seems to intersect with american imperialism and other problematic pseudo-marxian concepts, while the concept of being transgendered doesn't seem to conflict with liberal, capitalist values, does it?
