1 if u want to read a non psychotic thing abt Soviet union n their stance on homosexuality family marriage etc (biopolitics) read the essay on it in "beyond totalitarianism"

2 is the argument rly that men having sex w each other maintains oedipal structure bc that's a) not being evidenced at all b) seems v liberal target of attack (negating not the negation) c) implicit argument for incest (!) n a weird new phallic regime founded in heteronormative freedoms n taboos rather than their negation

3 I see inconsistency in arguing that criticism of eg Syria, anti imperialist resistance, is bad but lending ammunition to homophobia in the form of a left statement (gay =bourgeois) is good. Why the shift in priorities? Soviet nostalgia is not a good method for acquiring a coherent line
