you could just make a newspaper because it'll be fun. not everything has to subordinate to the teleology of socialist revolution. just open a few cans of beer and write some cool articles about assad is manly or whatever.

a socialist student group here has something like that. the way you proposed to organize it seems better than what they have here which is basically a blog about global left causes that gets updated more or less never and gets handed out to people whenever there's enough material to fill some amount of paper. a local interest leftist zine with a Theory/Investigation page sounds like a cool niche

Make a trashy humor zine full of cool pictures and leftist satire. You can put it together in photoshop or by hand, the old school way. Then its easy to print cheaply on A4 paper. And leave copies all over the place. Do it under a pseudonym and include a email address and see what wacked out responses you get. It wil be fun.

whenever someone gets around to My Left Publication the advice they get first is "make sure and stay away from Marxist buzzwords, and words that are too big" like anyone is going to read the pamphlet now that it is written for very young kids

the only reason he got that advice is because he said some people who will be writing for this aren't marxists. or maybe you should just never do that, i don't know. someone read a book and tell me yes or no.

if first worlders at least look inward instead of outward it seems objectively a better thing especially given that 1. it takes a focus (and resources) off of warranting "humanitarian intervention" abroad 2. at least it seems right to highlight white supremacy as it exists today (the liberal, palatable example being the prison/justice system)
