I was never clear on what it was about BARREL BOMBS doing whatever it was they actually do that somehow made them so much more of an atrocity than american REALLY FUCKING EXPENSIVE BOMBS hitting for example a hospital for several hours. Yet somehow that seemed like it was always one of the cornerstone beats of the imperialist war drums for Syria.

Like the normal State dept/media/CIA playbook of stories that pop up every time of uncivilized browns handing out big piles of viagra so the rape gangs can be even more rapy can at least be open to interpretation as making a point about rape being bad instead of probably being intended to discredit community health care organizations or something. But america is a place where bombing random people is considered funny and acceptable, so what's the hook here? Syira is stealing jobs from hard working bomb makers by using substandard equipment and what the peasants really want are our artisanal private reserve bombs smearing their kids into paste? That using stuff which wasn't on the wikipedia page for weapons of the syrian army is cheating?

Liberal propaganda is fucking weird sometimes.

it's the "wmds" of syria. you make up a term that is new and includes both things that the target probably owns that aren't really a big deal (old mustard gas shells that are half inert in iraq and barrels full of explosives in syria) and things that definitely aren't possessed by the target (nukes in iraq, barrels full of that stuff from the nick cage alcatraz movie in syria). then you say that hey, he has wmds/barrel bombs, make the association with the scary bullshit, and pretend you're not lying

I once read something that the goal or challenge of racist propaganda in fascist societies is to paint the targeted group as cunning and conspiratory, but brutish and animalistic at the same time. That analysis meshes perfectly with what you're saying...Accuse them of being a bunch of mad scientist chemical warfare masterminds that are so dumb and thuggish that all they can do is put it in a keg and kick it out of a helicopter. The reason it didnt make sense is I was too busy looking for subtlety to notice it was just a klan rally banner.

current state of the art racism is that europeans are genetically predisposed to cooperate and extend trust outside kin groups (at least if you're on the right side of ze hajnal line), that this was the source of its success, but that the brown hordes are exploiting that and that we therefore need to become racist, circles within circles

when i was a kid this one house had a where is my mind party where they just put that song on for about five hours as everyone got drunk and lolled around on couches and ratty flop floor mattresses. i loved those kids, always good for burning down a building by falling asleep with a lit cigarette. seriously like twice.
