I have yet to see any kind of genuine justification that the left is something more than a movementist follower of whatever liberal movement comes out of social media. This is a pre-Lenin understanding of politics, though it is more advanced than utopian left-communism which defines the impotent left first world. No one has presented principles and organizational standards for a democratic-centralist political organization which is built for the future instead of the reformist present.

I don't think the question of how movements and activists should interact with the media is meaningless.

But what seems to be lost in the reaction to that incident is that (1) the professor apologized (2) the "no media" sign was taken down.

Have they put the football players in charge of the whole school yet?

Student agitators are the worst. So are their handlers.

Believe it or not, there's more than one way to elevate pubescant youths to adulthood and citizenship.

You'd have to hope so, too, given the disastrous job being done by liberal arts academia.

some of the demands are good but others are iffy. having the university hire more minority faculty members makes a lot of sense as does hiring more mental health professionals. but i'm not sure if hiring more administrators for corporate-style "sensitivity training" is really productive or even desirable.

I. We demand that the University of Missouri System President, Tim Wolfe, writes a handwritten apology to the Concerned Student 1950 demonstrators and holds a press conference in the Mizzou Student Center reading the letter. In the letter and at the press conference, Tim Wolfe must acknowledge his white male privilege,

wow who knew that text could format so poorly. in any case congrats to mizzou students on the victory of getting the president out. i must admit when i saw all the black students celebrating i felt a bit bad about making light of the issue. welp, now that the pres is gone lets go ahead and see if the grad students get their health insurance back and the 4chan people stop drawing swastikas with shit.

This is my whole problem with this. If the swastika is a fascist symbol then a shit swastika is an anti-fascist symbol. I believe precedent was set by Piss Christ.

I guess it's easy to be trolled by pampered and obnoxious liberal arts students. Good thing the hunger strike guy survived, it would suck to miss out on enjoying the tens of millions of dollars his immediate family is worth.

What do people think of this?

"Later in his letter, Donley noted that he only found out about the alleged vandalism incident “via a flyer posted on the walls” of the dorm.

Although Donley did not respond to repeated requests for comment prior to publication, The Federalist spoke with two RHA staffers while trying to get in touch with Donley. Neither had personally witnessed the poop swastika. When asked if there was any photographic evidence of the alleged incident, one staffer replied, “Not to my knowledge.”

Frankie Minor, the director of residential life at Mizzou, did not respond to repeated requests for comment on whether he personally saw the poop swastika or any photographic evidence of it....

Multiple activists on Twitter pointed to this photo as proof that the incident occurred as reported, but a Google search for the same image shows that it has been floating around the Internet for nearly a year. A reddit thread from November of 2014 appears to contain the earliest publication of the photo in question, meaning that it most certainly does not constitute proof of the incident alleged to have occurred at Mizzou on October 24, 2015."
