0wned = communists, liberals

OK so the presentation is 35 minutes. The rest is questions. Unnecessary questions.

I find it interesting that people in the US have the most confidence in the military. What if your military experience is used as a forging ground for your business career? As soon as you step outside of "duty to country" and into the realm of "duty" (sick) to self, you're thereby morally criminalized!

Imagine, (Steve Jobs) is a person who created an amazing company and made people's lives immensely better; didn't hurt anybody in the process except the feelings of some of his coworkers

hey, it only took them until 2011 to stop using conflict-minerals, so at least they're trying to do better. but if you wanna focus on the historic social impact then 2011 is pretty late in the ballgame.

the product is staying true to its conflict-heritage. conflict-minerals make conflict-products.

Two explanations as to why you will get safe food in a unregulated economy. First: as Don said, poisoning people is a violation of rights and people can and should sue producers for damages they are responsible for. Now, in my option, the more important one. Reputation. A business will not be able to keep and attract new customers if it harms its old ones. This incentive is especially strong for middlemen who go though a pick out products among different produces.

I have never been in the military but I would stand in front of a tank to protect my values.

i saw the thread name and thought you meant that stanford university was an example of why business men should not try to give something back: because they waste their time and money doing stupid shit like building The Leland Stanford Junior University
#16
I read this originally as Why Businessmen Should Not Give Something Back To Stanford University, and nodded my head because fuck American academic institutions
#17
reminder that there was nothing stopping the stanfords from endowing cal, but they insisted on mismanaging their own university without any chance of any public meddling

and they did such a terrible job that when the campus was destroyed by the 1906 earthquake it must have seemed like a mercy killing

reminder that right up until the 60s stanford university's admissions policy explicitly capped the number of women admitted each year. this is because leland stanford was squeamish about having too many fillies on his hobby farm

That's why we need to rationalize the donor system and open it up to the invisible hand (I imagine the white gloved hand from super Mario smash brothers) of the free market and allow rational consumers to sell their skin to get some skin in the game. Bleeding ghoulish bootstraps. Like suicide club we could all hold hands and jump into the path of a subway train.

I agree with the title of this thread. BUsinessmen already create jobs and allow literally millions of people to live. We should really be paying them.
