well what's the point of cynicism? we're alive at the most exciting time in history. Dismissing that because you don't like the aesthetics of TED people seems like the ultimate in self-defeating spitefulness

we have very little surviving documentation from early human civilization, and so, it's not very intellectually honest of you to consider this the year of our lord twenty hundred and twelve to be the most exciting moment in history
