Writing and reading is boring and for nerds, post your crappy or otherwise attempts at any form of art that is more than just WORDS.

i havent made a tune in ages but http://soundcloud.com/bwodubstep/muslamic-ray-guns

that's pretty cool Samwise, I really don't mean this as a backhanded jewish insult but this is light years better than what you posted back at the widdip. I think that your 'parts' are all spot on as far as the actual musical/rhytmic progression goes but i'm missing some treble/hihats (maybe intentional?) and I think that you should try to randomize a bit some of the loops near the end just to give 'em a little bit more variation, particularly the rimshot/congas percussive loop, this doesn't neccesarily have to be a musical variation, you can try adding some distortion or bitcrushing and play with their levels near the end etc.

Which software were you using?
#8
reason and im really bad @ it lol. cheers tho
#9
reason is kinda inaccesible, i downloaded it recently cause it's an 'all-in-one' package and i was too lazy to scour the internet for all the neccesary VST/VSTi you need to make cubase a half way acceptable creative outlet and it's really far less convenient and intuitive then cubase. It's really trash i don't understand why design a software like that aimed for average home users with analog signal-flow design philosophy. I know how to work an 'oldschool' studio but doing the some sort of crap when i just want to put reverb on the snare drums is so stupid ijustdontgetit.

so, ditch reason.

waveform editting is pretty cool & useful when your process is based on splicing loops, i'm more of a midi parts thru VSTi kinda dude and it sounds like Kensley is also using midi.

actually I really like chopping midi blocks like they were waveforms themselves, here a song where i do dat:
