this whole video thing plays almost like someone knew in advance about these attacks and had this whole 'muslims hate are freedoms' narrative prepared in advance.

why prevent an attack if you can spin it into a PR victory?
#10
funny that muslims didn't collectively lose their shit and started attacking us consulates when family guy and southpark made fun of muhammad, and these are actual shows with millions of viewers. We are not talking about an explicitly islamophobic scene spliced into Titanic or something here, this literally a hate movie and i honestly doubt that anyone in libya actually watched it before the attack in bengazhi

So there were now like 10 attacks against american targets across the middle east and in afghanistan.

I'm sorry guys the video is clearly an american propaganda event attempting to diminish from the fact that al qaeda or whoever coordinated multiple successful attacks against us targets on the 9/11 anniversary.

it's better to depict the muslims as savage than our lads as incompetent, again.

The director of the film also made this

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0080839/

*** This review may contain spoilers ***
Sassy and audacious famous madam Xaviera Hollander (a splendidly sexy, saucy, and spirited portrayal by Martine Beswick) goes to Hollywood to supervise the adaptation of her bestselling book into a movie. After being taken advantage of by shady showbiz types, Xaviera decides to make her film as an independent feature by raising money the old-fashioned way. Director Alan Roberts, working from a blithely inane script by Devin Goldenberg, relates the cheerfully silly story at a constant snappy pace and maintains a playfully tongue-in-cheek tone throughout while delivering a bunch of amusingly lowbrow gags and oodles of tasty female nudity (even the insanely gorgeous Beswick shows off her sizzling hot stuff). Moreover, the game cast have a field day with the broad material: Adam West contributes an effectively slimy turn as dashing, but sleazy and duplicitous producer Lionel Lamely, Phil Silvers is a riot as cranky trash movie mogul William B. Warkoff, Richard Deacon has a ball as crude and boorish producer Joseph Rottman, Chris Lemmon gives a likable performance as nice guy eager beaver young executive Robby Rottman, and Edie Adams has a funny bit as clueless talk show host Rita Beater. This picture further benefits from a bevy of beautiful ladies who include Lindsay Bloom as snippy starlet Laurie, Susan Kiger as the luscious Susie, Lisa London as the daffy Laurie, Tanya Boyd as the sultry Sylvie, and K.C. Winkler as the delectable Amber. Stephen M. Gray's polished cinematography makes nice occasional use of dewy soft focus and artful dissolves. Tom Perry's jaunty score likewise does the trick. Besides, it's impossible to dislike a picture that features Dick Miller as a New York City cop customer who we get to see in the sack with Beswicke and the gust-busting sight of Adam West in drag. An amiably asinine hoot.

The video had tons of comments by angry Muslims initially. You will also recall that South Park was not allowed to air the image of Muhammad in their episode dealing with the subject. To my knowledge Family Guy (the actual show) has never done anything of the sort.

Also keep in mind Muslims got really upset over cartoons of Muhammad and other such things in the past.

#26
oh right i forgot it was actually southpark that showed a fake episode of family guy showing muhammad. pretty clever therer M&T.

in anyway, Comedy Central got one (1) threatening e-mail from some college student not affiliated with any actual muslim orginization and censored the sequel episode 201 out of their own volition.
#27
South Park approached the issue twice, first with the two episodes titled "Cartoon Wars" and then another two episodes titled "200" and "201". Last I checked, the 201 episode is still unavailable to be watched. Cartoon Wars Part II is available, but with the image of Muhammad censored over in the relevant scene. What made Comedy Central decide to censor it is probably an absolutely reasonable fear of violent retaliation by the Muslim world.
#28
Uhm actually they also showed muhammad in the episode with the first appearance of the super best friends and also in that david blaine episode if that's not the same one. owned like a pubbie facing goonfleet imo.

#29
Yes but that one was much earlier on, did not intentionally try to stir up controversy, precedes the Muslim cartoon protests (and 9/11) and also did not portray Muhammad in any sort of negative light.

Obviously there is a general anti-American sentiment amongst the Muslims for a variety of reasons including historical US actions, but denying the video had any role as catalyst is unrealistic given how many of the protesters cite it and how many times the video has been seen and commented on by Muslims. Just admit that Muslims got trolled again and responded with their characteristic behavior.

Meanwhile this is what the president thinks. He also tried to have the video pulled but Google rejected his request.

america got trolled on 9/11 anniversary and is counter trolling itself and an already volatile region to hide The Farce.

this is an insane conspiracy theory with no basis in reality

#34
Same.
#35
hmm there were attacks on US forces in afghanistan on the same day as protests in cairo and benghazi. clear evidence of an internation al qaeda network coordinating multiple attacks, rather than, you know, business as usual.
#36
al qaeda bribed the local security forces in bengazhi, reports say.

that's probably true. it's also true that the video was a spark that ignited pre-existing resented towards the US rather than being the direct cause of anything. but none of this adds up to an international terrorist conspiracy or an american attempt to disguise it.

#38
well it's all fucking convenient innit? and like several different attacks all propped by al qaeda or endorsing al qaeda (like the rally in egypy) are all probably completly unrelated. especially if they're all on 9/11. that's jsut a coinky-dink.
#39
and the western media was after all exhibited careful research when it announced that this obscure youtube vid was the immediate cause for muslims going nuts against (mostly) american targets.
#40
yes it does
