Have you watched anything he's ever written? Of course he can't openly endorse it, but he's already admitted to not being a real socialist and he's hoping that some sort of Terminator catastrophe will happen to liberate him from self-imposed labor aristocratic liberalism.

Odds are even if Hitler came to power he would actually prefer him over Stalin.

Considering "Communism was a total disaster" and "the left has no viable alternative to capitalism" (Zizek's words).

ya zizek is to communism what laibach is to fascism lol

ziz: hmmm haahahha

next persyn to get microphone: "Dr. Zizek, this isn't a question so much as a statement of fact. You're not a socialist. You're a liberal. Please stop pretending otherwise. Have a nice day."

well you know. it's a fantasy response to the undeniable visceral realization that capitalism as it exists today can't continue

there are a lot of intelligent technofetishist nerdos that really love it. i was having a discussion about it with a friend recently which basically came down to me saying that it's not that runaway super-future weirdo shit isn't going to happen... it's just not going to happen to you, mr not a billionaire

that's optimistic. that's not a reason to "wait for" the revolution like zizekscum.

but this is missing the point, you won't need to be a billionaire. I don't see why this crazy super-technology won't be able to be mass produced so like the richest 10% of the population can use it. If that's the case then the system isn't really threat because there will be nough people for whom access to this stuff is possible if they "work hard enough"

i'm sure they were saying the same thing about cars 100 years ago

the iphone kicks the shit out of everything discovered pre-1950. i would gladly sacrifice plumbing, medicine, and electricity if i had to choose between either keeping everything discovered pre-1998 or everything discovered post-2002, because of accelerating technological change over the past 8 years.
