i doubt the likely-enough military takeover of America will include any influential party apparatus at all. there would be far less appeal to that among any class in American society than there is to already-existing worship of and identification with the military. if the military proclaimed itself completely independent of either party while nominally endorsing Christianity it would unify America like nothing else in history. pretty boring
