I really, truly cant understand why anyone would discuss the current internal state of any part of the somethingawful forums. Its exactly the same as it was in 2007 and in 2003 and in 1999 before that.

when i was 11 i was posting on this website that gave cute ranks depending on the post count. 100 posts was "private", 300 was "lieutenant", 1500 was "field marshal" etc. i would spend hours a day all summer making as many posts as possible and responded to absolutely everything at least once. the mods raised the post count to win a custom title to 1500 to keep me from getting there. once i finally reached 1500 i think i proposed "assclown" or something but the mods rejected it. still felt accomplished.
