The best political discussions are always the one where the white nationalists accuse leftists of supporting the terrorists and the leftists accuse white nationalists of supporting the terrorists.

You should probably firebomb that meeting, trotskyism is the worst possible thing that can happen to a mass worker's party.

there's a funny thread on revleft about the sawant 2012 campaign.

basically the socialist alternative peeps ran sawant against a coasting candidate for the democrats in the state legislature. no one else bothered to run in the general, even for the republicans. like not even a paultard ran against him because he was such a lock. so basically anyone who didn't like the democrat just voted for sawant. so she got 28% of the vote. note that within the democratic primary leading up to the general she got 9% of the vote, because well yeah.

from this 28% state house run they've decided they've got a winning model and are going around the country saying that. but more importantly, they are complaining loudly that the ISO refused to endorse their campaign. and the ISO, understandably, is like uhh guys that's not a big deal, who cares.

the PSL does a similar thing, running against candidates in races with one major party and going like "we won 16%, catch the fever" or whatever, but i've never seen a party flip out and act like they are about to win a real election.

edit: i garbled this because she ran against two different democrats (one for the primary, one for the general) but basically it's right. deal with it.
