i think stego's thing on the united order was actually a pretty good exhibition on something that seems like it could be socialist/left if only they just had a push in the right direction and then proceeding to go full racist/reactionary

whats the matter with kansas is a bunch of liberal bullshit, political economy is exactly what it sounds like, you will probably never convince a racist libertarian to become anything else through rhetoric alone and getting sad about it is dumb hth

the central error in 'what's the matter with kansas' is the central error in liberalist thought. it treats the question of why white people vote for small-government, cut-the-rich's-taxes types as voting against their own interests, the reasons being either a mystery, manipulation, or collective insanity. this is false. the first reason they do so is strictly material. without the low taxes, tax breaks, low wages, lax regulations and kickbacks offered by red states, corporations everything else being equal have no reason to bring industry to backwater towns with limited relevant natural resources over coastal states closer to the capitalists themselves, with better access to population centers, culture, education, infrastructure and international shipping. a shitty-paying job is better than no job, or needing to move thousands of miles to get a job. second is the flip side of why women and minorities are more likely to vote democrat: republicans actively attempt to block or suppress policies that are seen to exist at the expense of whites and/or males: affirmative action, welfare, reproductive freedom, gay rights. there is an ideological component as well, but they're acting in some form according to their own desires and self-interest

uhh i dont use rhetoric alone. i use browbeating, the exploitation of existing prejudices, and incredibly disingenuous emotional language. and im rather ecstatic about it!

Homosexuality is counter revolutionary and gays as well as women should be purged to further the goals of Communism.

The last 20% of humanity is made up of various kinds of clowny ponce, and there are too many subsets to go into right now but they are each jack of them worthless in startlingly unique ways, it's a really a panoply of failure. i wish there was an alien species who could stumble upon our little remains sometime in the near future because if they have even a rudimentary sense of humor they'd be able to have a decades-long renaissance of humor and art just going through our artifacts and histories and riffing on our little self-important fucking useless civilizaiton

why does everyone assume you have to teach the Garbage Proles the full inner workings of Marxist/Communist theory rather than simply conditioning the vast hate reserves of their addled lizardbrains to point more accurately at the source of their IRL material problems? do you not know how actual, real world political movements work? the complicated shit and Ultimate Truth is reserved for the inner circle. all anyone else needs to do is oppose the sources and foundations of your enemies power structure.

i mean if you cant convince a drunk southern white supremacist to hate "all those jewish bankers up in Wall St." then youre clearly not even trying
#235
it is literally easier, in the year 2014, to convince racist conservatives that bombing Syria is a bad idea than it is to convince a liberal Democrat. Just call it "Obama's War", throw in a couple of "bring Our Boys home" and "we cant afford this" and youre good to go. Whereas the Liberal will stick its fingers in xer ears and sperg out about Obama's "intelligence and reserve" and how This Time Its Completely Different because NO BOOTS ON THE GROUND and BADMAN IS CUT OFF THE HEADS

neoconservatism has made a huge comeback since the ISIS gained so much power & territory and even Rand Paul has renounced his purported isolationism. most of what i've been hearing from the right is that Obama isn't bombing the IS enough.
