yeah, the size needs to be exactly right because the css & html is .. ah.. less than flexible.

RedMaistre, you need to edit your post and check the checkbox on the right side that says 'an editor can frontpage this post'. ok normally you have to do that but i'm just going to force it on because i know you are ok with it going up.

little did i know that it's not just like a button somewhere. you have to edit the article as a staff user, then you have to create a Zinnia Blog Entry that has a Post entry that you set to the ID of the post that you want to frontpage. then you have to edit the author to the ID of the author that you want to credit (otherwise it's you), upload the image, write something to go under it on the front, and all of this is with a really crap stock admin interface that comes with django. it's ugly and makes me mad thank you for reading my complain!!!

RM i made some very minor spelling and punctuation changes.

the only thing i didn't know what to do with was:

the idea was to be really low on graphics (except the article graphic) and different colours etc so that the only focus was the writing and not a bunch of buzzy bullshit. the rhizzone title by itself is supposed to be the "logo" such as it is.

bhpn, using a font may be Web 2.0, but I found myself actually drawn to reread article I had read previously just because the format was a little nicer. I think it really would encourage more readers. even ten more is good.

thanks for the feedback everyone. as always I won't do anything unilaterally, this won't happen for a while if at all. I'll make another demo post next time I have more to show.
