Walden Media is the christianized version of Participant Media (who financed An Inconvenient Truth and Waiting for Superman) and does cause-based marketing of social issues that are tangentially touched upon by the feature scripts they finance. this is what walden is doing now that they know that nobody actually gives a shit about the chronicles of narnia beyond the very first book which is only liked out of nostalgia. everyone involved is seeing this and other properties which may or may not star dwayne "the rock" johnson through because the checks from walden clear and moneys money. shocker: hollywood is a depraved and mercenary institution at the best of times.
