Just to be clear the communist position has always been Brexit despite liberal elites telling you that you're racist:

http://www.cpgb-ml.org/index.php?secName=leaflets&subName=display&leafletId=114

https://www.morningstaronline.co.uk/a-1bff-Why-the-Morning-Star-supports-a-Leave-vote#.V2zXJvmKSM8

http://www.respectparty.org/2016/02/22/respect-to-campaign-to-leave-the-european-union/

this is a victory for the working class, now the left has to organize the so-called 'racist' and 'stupid' working class.

labour membership are throwing a tantrum and demanding corbyn resign as well (because of course kicking out your eurosceptic leader will show the country you're in tune with their beliefs)

yeah he was a eurosceptic before he became leader and everyone knows that (right-wingers loved saying "look how deceptive he is, abandoning his morals when it suits his career!"), but he had to campaign for remaining in the eu because the overwhelming majority of labour members supported that (~70%) and he became leader based on member votes rather than MPs. he really couldn't just sit it out.

wow now that i've caught up on various things, liberals are maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad

not even any second of thought of maybe this could be good or maybe there's something to wide swathes of the working class seeing a problem with the EU or any thought, just, welp everyone was tricked by fascists and the world is ending.

some titles of the latest posts in the labour party subreddit:

Democracy has failed

I'm ready to replace Corbyn - are you?

In fairness to Cameron

What should happen to Corbyn?

How fucking useless has Corbyn been?

Disaster for the United Kingdom and socialism

A message to those losing hope after this morning's results.

If we leave is it the end of Corbyn

Labour’s traditional voters no longer share its progressive values

for anybody curious about corbyn's euroscepticism: http://www.businessinsider.com/jeremy-corbyn-is-making-a-big-speech-saying-we-should-remain-in-the-eu-heres-all-the-times-he-said-the-eu-was-bad-2016-4?IR=T

It's definitely going to be tough for the working class in the short term and also tough for the core principled antifascist left facing whatever fash surge might be coming. But not many things worth doing are easy
#146
i hope corbyn stays around, not because he's perfect, but it would help
#147
and maybe he could utter a fucking peep about negatives of the eu now idk

im glad we voted to give 2 fingers to the eu and that it made liberals mad and cry. as for the next inter-imperialist war thats on its way - not so happy - but all inter imperialist alliances are temporary, and under capitalism peace is just the lull between war. The eu was collapsing anyway, regardless of the uk vote,

Those in the UK involved in organising should see this as both a minor victory in weakening inter-imperialist cooperation but also as an indicator of the inperitive of real work to build a mass movement before the next war

at some point we might end up dead or in prison or routed completly because as glomper says the real resistance to fascism in the uk is so weak at the moment, but if we dont try then whats the point

I also welcome boris johnson, someone who also likely fucked a pig, as our soon to be new fearless leader

it's been too long since the UK had a proper meme prime minister, grats to Boris on his coup. No Confidence vote against Corbyn seems like total bullshit to me, he came out for remain but he's always been Euroskeptic, as other posters previously mentioned.
#154
the cross-party support for remain seemed very much like Oh This Is Too Important For Politics And Ideology milquetoast bullshit

these are all arguments that the EU is anti-communist, undemocratic and neoliberal, which is true. on the other hand, they're not arguments that these are things that the UK wouldn't be outside of the EU anyway. is the idea that british voters could vote away austerity and imperialism if only they weren't shacked to the EU? if so, that seems like a strange amount of faith in bourgeois electoral democracy from these groups

e: especially considering the fact that the UK has its own private mechanism for extraction of profits from the periphery, the commonwealth
