in most dystopian novels, coerced exercise and severe regimentation of foodstuffs are central to setting the scene. the idea that even the most basic functions of family life are now collective and controlled is deeply offensive to the spirit of ancient english liberty. however, take the situation we live in today: probably a billion overweight and at least a billion hungry, with many of the rest either food insecure or the cornucopia overflows. the scale of food waste is staggering and the costs of obesity - in human terms - are immense, while millions of children die before even getting a start in life.

now we all agree on socialism, but should people be forced to exercise? i say yes. should we be forced to eat reasonably healthy food? i say yes.

what say you, fair listener?

they say you should only lose like 1 lb a week but that's weaksauce. i'm going to get fatter for a few weeks and then lose like 10 lbs in a week by running up and down stairs at a stadium and then fighting a russian

10 pounds is ~40, 000 calories

would only take ~80 hours of running. easy.
