how can you interpret taxman as trying to diminish awareness of capitalist exploitation?

Those taxes were to pay for all the benefits of social democratic Britain. Throwing scorn upon the idea of taxes as a social good was just paving the way for the Iron “there is no such thing as society” lady

the beatles were essentially the Right Brothers of the 60s
#44
people criticize the beatles as removing the "active ingredient" in rock music and reducing it to a neutralized harmless commodity. but what if it were precisely the opposite? that the beatles popularity preserved the rational kernel in black music and amplified it across racial lines, creating revolutionary resonance across millions of white youth? when the beatles sing, "i wanna hold your hand"... perhaps this is true communism?
#45
the beatles paid a 95% rate in the sixties, in 2011 adele made an online terrorist threat over paying 50%
#46
early rock music sucked ass and was far inferior to radio pop

also 1960s britain was still a class-stifled society with backwards institutions, racism, sexism, etc.

I liked social mobility before it was popular

Remember how BHPN was once "I don't need to post with you liberal faggots anymore cause I joined occupy and now i'm a revolutionary irl, talking to my revolutionary buds, making revolution, unlike you ugh *snort* liberals" and then two weeks later he was like "so, i didn't visit our occupy for like three weeks now and as I drove by I saw it was being torn down, there was nobody there, bunch of fucking liberals ugh"

and now he's back posting. yeah. what a fella.
#68
remember when BHPN went to the phillipines and posted scathing political commentary along the lines of "as I looked at the people i noticed they were poor and exploited, what's worse, they couldn't even articulate their degree of poverty and exploitation as well as I could"

and then he raped a girl.
#69
i find any sort of political conviction deeply embarrassing.
#70
one of BHPN strangest moments was when he upheld that child beating MRA guy who lit himself on fire as a martyr against "liberal" feminist tyranny. this was in WDDP-LF and i wish i had screencapped it before the thread was purged.

the other day i passed a group of communist party members protesting for the freedom of the cuban five. it was so transparently a meaningless recruiting ritual that i wanted to spit at them.

the cuban five shouldn't be in prison. wanker.

never protest or engage in any real world political activity because a few internet cynics might think you look dumb.

it's almost pure accident whether most people end up joining a socialist organization or the scientologists or neonazis or the democrats or something. it's all little cottage industries for the desperate and insane. it's repulsive and the best thing to come out of communism will be a sort of zero point where maybe we'll get beyond that and find new things to care about. there will be no more politicians.

Oh absolutely, the best thing that can come out of communism is that people will realise that it's a bankrupt movement without some sort of moral under-pinning, and then they'll all turn their heads to Plato and other learned Hellenes for guidance. Game set match commufailures
