go out into public irl especially anywhere where people have to wait for 10+ seconds for some reason and everybody is on their smartphone, even if they're with other people. i'm not just being a bitter old cunt about this, this is a major change in our social relations and smartphones have only been around for like 5 years

i mean, there was the internet at home and that definitely changed things, but before like 2008 if you went outside you had no internet. you had to relate to the world. that seems like a million years ago. what the hell did i do with myself when i went somewhere alone? bring a book? i seriously dont remember

i can't believe that automobile fatalities haven't skyrocketed. i see so many people tapping on their touchscreen while driving. almost everybody at a stoplight.

well you are 20x more likely to get in accident texting and driving than you are DUI ~the more you know~

it's gonna get worse, too, especially if they increase battery life significantly. right now you can play with a phone for like 3 hours before it dies, maybe less. but if they get that up to the point where you can go outside for an entire day and never give reality your undivided attention
