last week i got several phone calls before I was about to go to bed, all from my wife's phone. i eventually picked up and it was Tumblr Tumblrrson himself telling me "you need to come to my house and take (wife) home before I call the cops."

As far as I can piece things together from his garbled and evasive responses, her no doubt unreliable account and my own suspicions, this is what happened.

She had been sleeping at his house for the past two nights, coming back to our apartment while I was at work to change clothes, grab necessities, play with the dog and so on. She badgered him several times into awkward and abortive attempts at sex; it seems this plus the sudden proximity shock of having his casual girlfriend become a live in case put his nerves under unaccustomed strain.

Anyway, he failed to perform that night. They were both really drunk as well, so her patience finally snapped and she started shouting at him. After some time, quailing and desperate to escape, he simply put his clothes on, got up and tried to leave the room. Incensed beyond measure at this, she attempted to follow him without putting any clothes on herself. Thinking his roommate was around and panicking, he decided it would be a good course of action to shut the door in her face. She didn't take this very well, and it only redoubled her desire to get out of the room, now in order to kick the shit out of him. The struggle over the doorknob ended in a temporary victory for the Swede, when he presumably managed to get his key from his pocket and lock her in. So now he had trapped a very angry woman in his bedroom who was screaming a lot of colorful and descriptive things his way, and nowhere safe to hide should he release her. But somehow he got her phone, I assume because it was in her coat or her bag hanging in the hallway or something. And I guess at that point I was the closest thing, outside of a pig, to a neutral party who could be asked to intervene.

When I got there, Bønerlëss opened the door and immediately hid in the bathroom; i think he must have been equally frightened of me and her. His keys were hanging in the lock of his bedroom door which was still rhythmically vibrating. I let her out, she threw her arms around me for a minute, and then, barely calmed, decided to try and bust her way into the bathroom. He still had her phone though, and so in a not very convincing tone warned her he would flush it down the toilet unless we calmly left. (She is quite fond of the phone.) Then there was a period of negotiation, as the result of which my wife had to wait outside while I exchanged his keys for her phone through the barely opened bathroom door. So the current state of affairs is she wants nothing to do with him but thinks I rescued her and I Really Care and we're going to be happy and in love again, just because I didn't want her to be arrested. this isn't really a Problem that needs to be Solved as i already have the solution in the works but its probably entertaining
