The FBI rank and file revolt against the firing of Comey

http://revcom.us/a/490/from-refuse-fascism-protest-firing-of-fbi-director-james-comey-en.html

The firing of FBI Director James Comey is an outrageous escalation in the unrelenting onslaught of fascist moves from the Trump/Pence Regime. This firing further reveals the Trump/Pence Regime's total disregard of the rule of law, due process and justice. Firing FBI Director Comey is an ominous and dangerous move – another in a succession of steps towards consolidating fascism.

"The unprecedented regulatory power the Obama Administration imposed on the internet is smothering innovation, damaging the American economy and obstructing job creation,” read thousands of identical comments posted this week, seemingly by different concerned individuals. The comment goes on to give a vigorous defense of deregulation, calling the rules a “power grab” and saying the rollback represents “a positive step forward.” By midday Tuesday, the thread was inundated with versions of the comment. A search of the duplicated text found more than 58,000 results as of press time, with 17,000 of those posted in the last 24 hours alone.

The comments seem to be posted by different, real people, with addresses attached. But people contacted by The Verge said they did not write the comments and have no idea where the posts came from.

Back in July 2014, in an episode in which he lamented the Wealth Gap in America”... Oliver said, “At this point the rich are just running up the score…What sets America apart is that we are actively introducing policies that disproportionately benefit the wealthy,” such as tax cuts and loopholes like trusts.

So it’s a little surprising to discover that just months before, Oliver had a tax attorney set up two revocable trusts, one for him and one for his wife, to hide the couple’s purchase of a $9.5 million Manhattan penthouse. Then he used a tax loophole created by Donald Trump himself back in the 1970s...

New York Observer aka Jared Kushner's Personal Weblog with the scoop: John Dailyshow UK buys $9.5m penthouse - half cash, half JP Morgan mortgage - and uses Trump tax loophole to reduce his property tax rate to 0.25%. The shell company on the title is named after his dog, Hoagie

i like this but i thought it was going to go into more analysis of the format along the lines of the title itself. every late night talk show IS a sleazy plutocratic rim job, not just the more recent Political ones she mentions. most of the time it's mostly harmless, a celebrity comes on, plugs their recent flotsam, the host sells for them, if they're a woman he talks about how much he wants to fuck them to the extent that this is considered permissible in the culture, etc. maybe the celebrity owns the host who makes a hangdog look in good fun. but the point is clear: the rich are beautiful, funny royalty and to be treated with deference. then a politician comes on and all of this is turned to 11. maybe they'll throw them a softball disguised as a hardball with a pre-rehearsed answer, but that's it. everybody shit on jimmy fallon for deferring to trump, but what did they expect? this is what these guys have done every weeknight in every relatively wealthy country since the 1950s.

, but political experts say this argument is flawed because it's actually the international Russian conspiracy which saps and impurifies all of our precious bodily fluids.
