lol roseweird do you fly into these conniption fits when someone casually mentions fitness IRL?

"hey sorry i'm late i was just at the gym doing some weightlif-"
"OMG STOP INTIMIDATING ME!!"

*sees gym advertisement*
"UGH, HOW OBNOXIOUS"

*sprains wrist while struggling to carry 2 pounds of groceries*
"fuck, i knew i shouldn't have skipped my breathing practices this morning!"

"why should i spend a small amount of time trying to improve myself when i could waste time doing this completely ineffectual thing instead?" - roseweird
#217
just got back from the gym. didnt quite reach my goal but i also didnt vomit. a compromise any democratic socialist should be proud of.
#218
i support roseweird totally on this front. the culture surrounding ~*~fitness~*~ is extremely dumb.
#219
hmm yes i'm gonna take fitness advice from someone who thinks crossfit is anything but the quickest way to the hospital https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wZ7Pj2EIKuw&list=UUALPEfRj7nMfRkt55ce2dDQ

totally. as we can see, fitness culture is totally not based around hassling people until they join and applaud you about your hobby

making a thread about exercise is hassling now? youre a little baby.

#224
you're literally hassling someone because they dont want to join your hobby.

did you know that building model trains can help you develop vital organizational skills and mental endurance, reducing the likelihood of misunderstanding some legal or financial situation to your detriment? the benefits of model train building are truly endless, not doing it is basically pointless.
#226
if you want a hobby that will provide actual, literal personal gains learning how to program is a lot more practical than going to the gym

What a crazy lunch hook up today at Red Robin Gourmet Burgers. It was my refeed day so I was taking advantage of the never ending steak fries as well as the never ending stares from all the females in the restaurant. I hit my delts and traps hard before coming in to eat, so they were very pumped. Anyway, My waitress was a legit 9/10 Brazilian chick hnnngggg so I knew I had to give her a tip (not money tho haha) so I went to go do my normal pull up routine in the bathroom and of course, 2 minutes later she follows me in. I can't go into details on the 'zzone, but let's just say instead of 20% she received 5.3(inches). That's one tip you'll never hear her complain about. She even let me snap a photo after, no class.

girls can do it too why does this always have to be a gender thing

why does this sport all about lifting heavy things using large muscles which men due to testosterone can build much more easily than women have to be a gender thing. come on girls WHY AREN'T YOU LIFTING. LIFT. LIFT. LIFT. IF YOU DONT LIFT WE WONT LET YOU IN THE REVOLUTION.

you can use bodyweight but you get better results quicker if you can manage more resistance

i lift for body composition because belly fat is the most unhealthy for males RIP james gandolfini

i dont need to be hormone-shamed, im happy being a healthy communist boy, thanks for your concern

i can spend less time in the "gym" by using heavy weight and performing basic movements at a high intensity than i could be doing bodyweight work for 2 and a half hours and get better results from the former

#240
sorry to focus on "lifting" but have you guys heard of these things called "fast twitch muscle fibers" or a "strength and conditioning coach"?
